The physical and chemical change comic expectations were to create a comic strip in which we had to explain the differences between physical and chemical changes. Throughout the project we had to create a scenario where our character shows how to tell the difference and what makes a chemical change a chemical change or what makes a physical change a physical change.
The 21st century skill, self-directional skill set is the best fit for this project. Because during the project I need to independently monitor my time use to make sure my goals and my own learning needs will be met so that my project is my best work. This project demonstrates my capability of working on an assignment on my own time showing my understanding of the work and what needs to be done.
There are multiple aspects from this project that I would not change. For instance I quite enjoy the story-line of my comic and the process of creating the comic. It was a project that made my brain work and really twist around trying to figure out an idea where I can explain the differences. It also ended up being very colorful and pleasant to the naked eye.
Throughout the project I was constantly working on improving my capabilities of working alone and independently so that I may not get distracted from what really needs to be done.
The most difficult part about this assignment was deciding what I want my comic strip to be on. Majority of the time I was trying to figure out what story-line and characters I want to be featured. The rest, like coloring and creating the dialog was easy and didn't take up as much time as expected.
If I was to re-do this assignment again I would maybe choose another color theme because I think the bright colors were maybe too much but then again it decently catches your eye. Not regarding the colors there wouldn't be anything else I would change.
I would relate this to my past by reminiscing about how much I used to love, I mean absolutely adore reading comics. Now having one as an assignment was pretty cool. If I was relating it to information I have learned about I would think that even after learning about chemical and physical properties and changes that there would still be so much I don't know and will discover in high school.
If years later look back on this and think about how it impacted my life I would remember what I could have done instead of those colors and how awful my drawing technique is. If I was applying this work to future learning I would look about and remember to always have a fun twist to my work.
