This project was assigned to us by our Profe (spanish teacher), in which we were required to create our own shark tank proposal of a restaurant that provides specific foods of spanish culture which relates to each country. We decided to create a food truck that sells Mexican food, which we called the Salsa Shack.
This project addresses the 21 st century skill of Financial, Economic and Business literacy. This is because we had to create a restaurant proposal of where our food trucks would be located, what the prices of the meals and drinks, research on what we would offer and all of the basic managing skills that were required to succeed. I was most proud of how creative our poster looked and how creative and interactive our presentation was. For our presentation we created a skit on how you would order from our food truck. For the poster we cut open a slot so that one person can stand behind it and the others would pretend to order from the front. The experience of working on this project provided us to be able to improve our Financial, Economic and Business literacy 21st century skills by having more time to be able to work on it. And how we may enhance these skills for the future. The most difficult part of this assignment for me was having enough time to finish it. This is because we didn't have the time in class and it was hard to schedule time for us to meet up to work on it. So we then decided to each work on specific parts and then put it together at the end. Which did work but it was a struggle to get there. If I were to do this project I would have done nothing differently. It was a great assignment and we all got to add in our own ideas. Personally I think we really pulled it off to the best of our ability. This relates to past presentations and involving our past ideas into this project. We really had a lot of creativity for this assignment and we made it unique from the rest. I will be able to apply this to future learning and projects by having the experience of thinking outside of the box and creating more interesting ideas with our improved Financial, Economic and Business literacy skills. As well I am a better presenter because of it. |
